Tell us a little about yourself

My name is Benny.  I was diagnosed with Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), drug addiction and Borderline Bipolar Disorder.

What mental health challenges have you experienced?

ADHD,  is it a diagnosis just tossed around to make excuses for kids, or is it an actual problem?

For me, it was a major issue. To medicate, I would take amphetamines and smoke weed.

By the time I was 19, I had a bad drug problem along with my dual-diagnosis.   However, today I am 25, six years sober and I no longer battle dual diagnosis.

My life is awesome today.

How did you get support for your mental illness? 

My family has always been huge supporters in my recovery. No matter what I went through they were right by my side.
