Quote of the week – Nelson Mandela

Nelson Mandela Impossible quote
Just do it!

What is impossible to you?  What does impossible mean to you?

When I was growing up my mum used to say that I should take away the words ‘I can’t’ from my vocabulary.  I never quite understood the strength and weight of her words till much later.

Someone once said  people who say a thing can’t be done are interrupted by someone else doing it.  Can you imagine you told your boss it was impossible to do do something only for someone else to do it, seemingly without sweat.  How embarrassed you would be at that moment.

Nelson Mandela said it always seems impossible until it is done.  And he can speak for himself.  It seemed impossible Nelson Mandela would ever be released let alone be the president of South Africa.  Yet it was done.

How could it be?  Because he had a particular mindset.  He refused to look at his circumstances.  Rather he had a different focus.

We can be the same.  No matter how tall the order is, refuse to say those words.  Think of the advances in today’s world which just a generation or two ago seemed impossible.

You may the one that comes with a cure for AIDS.  You may be a great inventor.

There is great potential inside you.  Just refuse to see the impossible.
