Don’t Allow Others to Validate You

Don’t allow others to validate you. Don’t be dependent on external validation. It gives too much power away to others. The ones that know you best are your creator and yourself.

don't allow others to validate you

Back in the garden of Eden, Eve unwittingly let Satan validate her, leading to her being deceived. The serpent came with a question that made her want validation. Eventually, she listened to the serpent.

Authority

Knowing who you are. Being confident in your being is essential for your being focused in life. Very often, those we take advice from end up being the ones that validate us.

You give authority to those you allow to validate you. This is implied permission for whatever they wish to do with your areas of responsibility.

I once heard a story about someone who graduated with flying colours from Medical School tearfully handing over his certificate to his parents and confiding in them that that wasn’t his choice for his future. He had done it all for them and now felt free to pursue his own dreams.

You are reverently and wonderfully made in the spiritual image and likeness of God, the Father of spirits. He alone is the one to validate you. When you are not conscious and confident of this- you open yourself to manipulation.

As the Father of Spirit’s, God communicates with us through our spirit. This makes it essential for us to train our spirit to discern His communication.

Manipulation

Manipulation is a seed of the evil one. It’s deceptive attempts to take away another’s freewill. When others are not assertive about their position there is a strong temptation to seek to impose your validation on them.

You open yourself to manipulation when you permit others to validate you. Our creator already has validated us in making us. He expects us to grow. Therefore, of necessity, whatever He gives us comes with challenges. The bigger the challenges, the greater the potential for growth.

When others are in a position to validate us for anything, they often lose some respect for us. All we require for success has already been deposited in our spirit. Others may help us discover them but the responsibility for developing them can not be abdicated to others.
