Keep Your Healing
When Jesus healed the sick He always instructed them not to return to the actions and environment that resulted in their ailment.
Sickness is a corruption of the perfect creation that God formed us in His own image and likeness. The body has the ability to heal itself of any ailment given the right environment . Very often whatever is applied to the body or the environment of someone with an ailment is to give the body time to repair itself by halting the spread of corrupting material.
When you wash an utensil that has been in dirt it is essential that you do not return it to the same dirt it was in. Much in the same way as is required to keep the utensil clean, your healing is maintained by not returning to the environment that caused the need to be healed.
Where this is not feasible you need buffers to protect you from that environment. God’s Word in your heart, in your mouth and before your eyes constantly is the most effective buffer of all.
Daily meditating, bring from memory, to the extent that it flowed through my being ensured my healing from what many agree is scientifically incurable mental illness.
My key meditation were:
The Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, dividing asunder soul and spirit, bone and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart
This told me that the Word of God was more effective than the best of surgeons on my body. It also told me that it discerns all thoughts. It discerned the intents of all (to help or hinder,etc)
My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words.
Do not let them out of your sight,
keep them within your heart: for they are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole body.
Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Keep your mouth free of perversity; keep corrupt talk far from your lips.
Guarding my heart was key to paying attention to What the Father was saying. To do this I had to keep any talk that was not in keeping with what He says about me from my mouth. I must say only what He has already said about me.
This book of the law shall not depart out of my mouth, but I shall meditate upon it night and day, so I may be careful to do everything written in it. For then I will prosper in all I do.
This told me that as I continually fed myself with the Word of God, in agreement within me on what it said, I was sure to prosper. It was my responsibility to be in agreement with the Word of God and continually feed my spirit with God’s Word much in the same way and frequency I fed my physical body
Beloved, I wish above all that you prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers
This told me that the key to my prospering and health lay in the prosperity of my soul. I had to understand what prospered my soul to be in health with prosperity.
I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. I know that fully well
I had come to understand I was a spirit that lived in a body with a soul that communicated my will. God the Father of Spirits made my spirit fearfully and wonderfully. My body must effectively comply with the spirit that God created with such wonder. For that to happen my spirit must be dominant over my physical senses
Thoughts for the day
When a wicked spirit leaves a body and comes back to find it clean but empty he goes back and gets seven spirits even more wicked to occupy the body and make it even worse than before.
Seven is the number for completeness-The evil spirit gets complete reinforcement to build a stronghold.
Healing and health lies in not accepting what God has given you regardless of the facts of your circumstances.
Faith works by love and there’s no more complete love than God’s love. That’s what He asks us to emulate.
