I have known for a very long time that man is composed of body soul and spirit. This awareness was later strengthened during the years I spent in the mental health system.

Your mind

When mental (bodily intellect) gave room to recognition of the importance of my human spirit my recovery began the final irreversible journey.

My early years and teens were heavily dependent on bodily feelings. My physical senses were my undisputed masters.

In my twenties I was beginning to question the relevance of my human spirit. A rapid build-up of success based on my intellect got me to starve my human spirit like no other time.

This brings me to the issue of the mind. I was astounded and very privileged to listen to a well-known Minister give his revelation on the human mind.

The human being is first of all a spirit with a soul housed in a body to give it a right to operate in this physical world. The mind of the flesh is death. The mind of the spirit is life and peace.

What astounded me was the revelation of the mind of the spirit, the mind of the soul[the intellect] and the mind of the body [your physical brain].

If you believe the book of Genesis as I do, the difference between humanity and animals is the spirit. Animals were not recorded as having been created with a spirit.

God was recorded as saying “Let us create man in our own image and likeness” -not so for every other creature.
God is Spirit [the Father of all spirits, angels and demons are spirit too]

Yet we see God creating the physical world. We are introduced to the mind of God, confirming there is the mind of the spirit.

Our knowledge of biology informs us of the the function of the brain in all creatures. All physical beings relate to the physical through their senses, regulated by their brains.

I believe the human intellect is of the soul, this is regulated by the human mind we are all so quick to identify.

If you believe there’s eternity like I do, you must wonder which part of you lasts for eternity.

Which mind is the most important. As angels and demons being spirit beings cannot die, your spirit mind must necessarily live in eternity.

It follows that this must be the most important.

Unfortunately, giving our preference for the intellect and the physical body, developing that of the spirit is often not on the agenda.
